TENTH ANNIVERSARY OF WINE SHOW SUCCESS

The 2023 Mornington Peninsula Wine Show marked a decade of wine show success, showcasing the rich diversity of winemaking talent across the Mornington Peninsula.

Chief Judge Dan Buckle highlighted the show's diverse results, emphasising the unique characteristics of the Mornington Peninsula's sites and sub-regions. He stated, "We had a broad spectrum of results, which is a refreshing departure from the dominance of a few wineries that can sometimes occur at regional shows. This inclusivity reflects the essence of what a regional show should be."

Buckle further noted that, while the Mornington Peninsula is synonymous with pinot noir and chardonnay, certain vineyards in the region excel in producing cool climate shiraz and other varietals including sparkling wines, cooler vintage pinot gris, and riesling which can be wonderfully expressive, thanks to the meticulous sourcing and craftsmanship by talented producers.

The Mornington Peninsula Wine Show Lunch and Trophy Presentation, hosted at the iconic Jackalope Hotels and brought together over 120 local wine producers.
